Do you have to have Wifi set up to trade Pokemon Diamond to Pokemon Platinum?

I own Both Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Platinum. I wanted to use a friend's Nintendo DS to trade pokemon from Diamond to Platinum. My wifi does not work with either of these games. Can you do a type of trading just between my friend's DS and my DS without using Wifi? And if So, How?





THANKS.|||Yes, of course you can. You would simply do what you do to trade with anyone. You go upstairs in the Poke Center and trade. Simple as that.|||You can trade if you are using two DS's at a short range without Wi-fi. Go upstairs in the Pok茅center in both games, and trade.


However, you cannot use friend codes to trade or use the GTS without Wi-fi set up.
