I am searching a machine that can detect diamonds in rocks no matter the size of the diamond. Even if you know flourescence machine, that would be helpful too.Please advise if you know x-ray machine to detect a natural diamond?
The problem with using the x-ray machine would be that likely the rock material surrounding the diamond would be more radiopaque than the diamond itself so it would be really hard to detect a diamond that way.
UV lights sometimes work. a lot of diamonds have some traces of phosphorous or boron in it which glows blue under the UV light.
