Pokemon Diamond: how do you get a specific nature out of breeding?

I own pokemon diamond and am completley stuck. I want a shinx with a modest nature. So i put my Luxray and a ditto in to the day care centre. My luxray has a serious nature while my ditto has a modest nature. I dont get why out of the two eggs that hatched one had a serious nature and the other one had a sassy nature?! How do you fix this?|||it doesnt matter about the parents.


the only time u will get the same nature over and over again is if both the parents have the same narture.If the parents have different natrures then the egg will have a random nature





And o ya u only have a 4% chance of getting an egg with a modest nature





Ur best bet would be just to go in the wild and catch a shinx until you get the nature you want





hope this helps =))|||um... put an everstone on ditto... that should increase the chances of u getting a modest.. (of course it doesnt mean u'll get it immediately... just a lot better chance)|||Put an everstone on the female or Ditto(if ditto is involved), then there's a 50% chance to get the nature of the Ditto/female.|||shinx have bad special attack and should have a lot more physical. But you are supposed to put an everstone on the one that you want the nature. BUT if you have a male with ditto, nothing will happen.|||I'm pretty sure it's random what nature your Pokemon is so you'll just have to keep on hatching eggs until you get what you want
